Summary of the position:
The Janitorial Worker is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and
hygiene of our facilities. This position is crucial to creating a positive and
welcoming atmosphere for our congregation, visitors, and staff. The ability
to operate with a high level of independence, initiative, and attention to
detail is required.
II. Experience and Knowledge Required:
Minimum of two years of commercial cleaning
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high
standard of cleanliness
Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines
Proven track record of effective time management
Experience in problem-solving
Ability to handle multiple projects effectively
Ability to learn and use RockRMS software
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and organizational skills
Projects a professional image, able to handle a fast-paced environment
Steady, positive attitude, people-oriented, team player, customer serviceminded
Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Strong work ethic, commitment to excellence
III. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Perform routine cleaning tasks, including but not limited to sweeping,
mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
Clean and maintain restrooms to meet health and safety standards
Empty and dispose of trash receptacles
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed
Ability to build and lead a team of volunteers for regular janitorial services as well as event coverage
Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager
