Our client is an apparel distributor located in Secaucus. They are seeking a Maintenance Tech to join their team!

Salary/Hourly Rate

$32 $38/hr

Position Overview

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the production line as well as the facility equipment. Tasked with maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule, the Maintenance Tech will trouble shoot and preform root cause analysis on the production floor. The ideal candidate will have come from a regulated manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities Of The Maintenance Tech

  • Responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing all plant and production equipment
  • Properly diagnose and repair all machinery (Pneumatic, Electric and hierodulic)
  • Preform emergency repairs on production/line equipment in a timely manner minimizing down time
  • Trouble shoot PLCs to find the root cause of the issue. Assist engineering team on reprograming
  • Install, maintain and support all production related equipment utilized in processing areas
  • Ensure that the site s utility systems are operated and maintained in a manner consistent with our and safety policies, procedures and all regulatory requirements
  • General understanding and compliance with all OSHA regulations, National Electrical Codes, State Mechanical Codes and other Plant/Facility Operational or safety procedures
  • Perform all work in accordance with environmental, health and safety standards, rules, regulations and practices of the facility

Qualifications For The Maintenance Tech

  • 4+ years of mechanical exp
  • Certifications in HVAC, Pluming, Contracting or Maintenance is required
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment and/or clothing
  • Stand/walk 7 or more hours per day
  • Working knowledge of Hydraulic/pneumatic systems
  • Working knowledge of PLC, electrical controls and motor circuits
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, diagrams and schematics

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED is required
