**Job Description:**

**Position Description:**

Supervisor is responsible for operation of Nissins all project activities, warehousing and household good; training, supervising for all employees; generating and reviewing operational reports; and assisting with general Human Resource issues under direction and supervision of Manager, Branch Manager and/or Assistant Branch Manager. Develop policies and procedures for distribution processes in order to maximize companys profitability and to ensure optimization and compliance with established standards and regulations. Measure and improve the performance, customer service and profitability of the assigned branch. Ensure that the assigned location provides first-class customer service constantly and the location maximizes its profitability and contribute regional and Company profit.

**Responsibilities/Essential Functions:**

* Responsible for all assigned functions for project activity, warehousing, and household goods operations

* Supervise the coworkers and established standards and procedures

* Instruct coworkers to adhere to all of Nissins policies and safety rules. Report any incidents or accidents immediately to manager, branch manager and/or assistant branch manager to maintain a safe and secure work environment

* Ensure customer satisfaction and contract compliance

* Responsible for proper use of all company equipment, packing materials, and proper maintenance of company vehicles while in transit, at a customer site, return to Nissin, or while visiting other facilities for delivery, pickup, etc.

* Track shipments and ensure deliveries in a timely manner

* Receive, review, and process documentation for each shipment accurately with forwarding operations team

* Ensure that all documents are in proper order. Scan, fax, and file documents, as needed

* Coordinate any necessary surface transportation to airports, ports, and good receiver which was ordered by customer to ensure that delivery is completed

* Work with Nissin other departments to meet customer and internal deadlines

* Conform to corporate policies and import/export regulations

* Data entry and maintenance using Nissins systems and other applications

* Plan layout of warehouse and other storage areas considering turnover, size, weight and related factors of items stored to maximize efficiency and productivity

* Train and assist warehouse workers in accordance with required policies, procedures, safety rules, computer systems & programs, and operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment

* Generate, review, and maintain logs, files, and report to monitor warehouse performance and household quality, ensure compliance with any necessary requirements from upper management, customers, and vendors

* Review records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures and to determine adequacy of inventory information

* Schedule work for special and periodic inventories. Track history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.

* Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow. Issue written and verbal instructions. Assign duties and examines work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures

* Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates. Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.

* Prepare composite reports from individual reports of subordinates. Adjust errors and complaints. Perform inventories, staff reviews, and disciplinary action

* Evaluate employee performance, and suggest necessary additional training or recommend corrective action as necessary

* Ensure that all employees including temps understand and comply with Nissins and customers company policy, work rules, requests, instructions, and requirements

* Perform other duties as assigned by management

* Acquire proficiency in WMS to enhance knowledge of operations in the Logistics Center

* Promote continuous improvement including strategic evaluations and SOPs for all major Logistic Center-related functions

* Ensure proper compliance and adherence to all CT-PAT and OSHA regulations and requirements within the Logistic Centers

* Communicate well with Manager and understand and follow instructions from Manager

**Experience and Skills:**

**Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree (B.A.) required.

* Ten years related experience preferred.

* Forklift certification required.

* Ability to evaluate workloads, coordinates assignments, and redistributes duties and to review, develop and implement policies and procedures.

* Ability to meet deadlines and expectations from customers, vendors and company.

* Ability to establish and achieve goals and objectives and to give direction, delegate assignments, and make independent decisions.

* Ability to pay close attention to details and multi-task.

* Ability to manage subordinates and evaluate individual and departmental performance.

* Ability to read, write legibly, count accurately, and perform math calculations.

* Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time and to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

* Ability to understand and implement verbal and written instructions and to communicate and work effectively with any other people.

* Ability to understand what customers expect and need and make suggestions for them to improve their business.

* Ability to inform, guide and direct employees in the department effectively and timely and monitor and ensure that employees follow the guidance.

* Ability to maximize productivity and maximize sales, profit and customer satisfaction.

* Ability to identify any problems and consult with upper management and Nissin HQ office to resolve the problem immediately and effectively.

* Must be able to work in Warehouse Work Environment - may be subject to noise, heat, cold, chemical smell, dust, and other similar conditions.

* Knowledge of all operation, packing, warehouse, distribution, logistics, customer service and sales functions and any applicable laws, regulations and rules.

* Knowledge of inventory control systems and cutoffs.

* Knowledge of PC applications such as Warehouse System, Email, Word, and Excel.

* Skill to instruct employees to use all equipment safely and effectively such as docks, forklifts, handy terminals, PC, printers and phones.

* Must operate company computer and operate all shipping and warehousing systems.
