Tracking Code HNL 21-512 ( Full-Time, 40 Hours Per Week, Day Shift, Monday- Friday, Variable Start Time 8am-10am) Job Description **SUMMARY:**

This role is responsible for investigating and faxing failed electronic reports. This person is also responsible for performing audits on Customer Care responsibilities, maintaining office supplies and contacting clients as needed. Understands and abides by patient confidentiality regulations.

**PURPOSE:**

The purpose of this document is to describe the general nature and level of work performed by personnel as classified; it is not intended to serve as an inclusive list of all responsibilities associated with this position.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Retrieves failed electronic transmitted reports.

- Researches and investigates failed fax numbers for accuracy.

- Calls clients to verify fax numbers or alternative methods in which to receive failed transmitted reports.

- Files and rotates daily faxes.

- Faxes results to reference hospitals.

- Audits the add on process; performs other audits as assigned.

- Collects and distributes incoming faxes to the Customer Care Team in a timely manner, as applicable.

- Maintains departmental supplies and equipment at a level that supports the daily operational efficiencies of the department.

- Performs limited Laboratory Information functions.

- Accepts additional responsibilities during staffing shortages.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance

Reasoning Ability:

Excellent communication, organization, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Discretion and confidentiality with patient data. Ability to perform duties with accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work under stress and in crisis situation.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office to include Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point and Laboratory Information and Customer Care Documentation Systems (will train)
