Job Details

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Maintain a safe and clean internal building appearance through good housekeeping, organization, and management of walking surfaces

* Follow work schedules to complete all required cleaning and sanitizing, and complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders

* Perform custodian duties, such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, picking up debris, emptying trash cans and recycling, and general cleaning; these activities may include using equipment such as floor sweepers, polishers, vacuum cleaners, and dusters

* Maintain all restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, and footbaths in a sanitary manner; replenish supplies and paper products in break room and restrooms

* Maintain inventory of cleaning and other supplies; notify appropriate contact or update supply sheet to re-order supplies

* Maintain cleanliness and safety of exterior of building; maintain outdoor facilities and grounds, which may involve operating a variety of power equipment for general grounds maintenance

* Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests

* Use chemicals to sanitize and clean the facility

* Perform related duties as requested by environmental health and safety (EHS), maintenance, management, or other staff members (e.g., help to coordinate and/or prepare for inspections and special events)

* Distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) when needed

* Follow all safety requirements and wear proper PPE

* Implement all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Inform QA personnel of any quality issues

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Janitorial or cleaning experience preferred

* Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

* Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals

* Able to work safely and follow established policies and procedures

* Able to follow directions and carry out instructions with little supervision

* Able to legibly write entries for record keeping

* Able to perform simple math

* Must be able to read, write and speak English
