Graphic Design Intern


Job Details

The Norfolk Admirals Professional Hockey Club is seeking a motivated and creative Graphic Design Intern for the 2024-2025 season. The ideal candidate is actively studying graphic design or art and has interest in working in the sports and entertainment industry in the future. This internship is unpaid and for college credit, so all applicants must be actively enrolled at an accredited college or university.

Duties and Responsibilities

The following responsibilities will be assigned to the graphic design intern based on their knowledge and experience. The job functions will be conducted in a collaborative environment among the marketing team to ensure a cohesive strategic plan is in place and all content is on brand.

  • Follow the Social Media Calendar as a guide for content creation.
  • Coordinate with the Social Media team and the marketing staff.
  • Create visually appealing graphicsincluding but not limited to gameday, game themes, player of the match, post-game scores, and more.
  • Create print graphics including but not limited to print ads, brochures, letterhead, posters, signage, etc.
  • Work with the Marketing Team to highlight promotions and sponsors both on an individual game and season-long basis, including the fulfillment of digital & social deliverables from sponsor contracts for the sponsorship department.
  • Ability to create reels and live content is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while executing multiple projects within tight deadlines.
  • Driven, enthusiastic and a creative team player motivated to create high-caliber content.
  • Team-focused: Our digital team succeeds by working as a unit, and that means being willing to cover for others on the team when necessary.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Enrolled at an accredited college or university
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-faceted, fast, fluid, and deadline-driven environment.
  • Enthusiasm for the team, sports, and hockey
  • Videography experience is a plus
