Genesis Research is an international healthcare consultancy providing end-to-end evidence development, optimization and communication services for Life Sciences groups.
The company has seen exceptional growth and success, and we are looking for an individual with strong organizational, accounting, problem solving and systems skills to join us as Financial Analyst.
The professional in this role will collaborate with operations and finance to oversee invoicing and revenue recognition as well as being the main point of contact for customer account inquiries. Additionally, they will process vendor bills and work on monthly closing including recording payroll.
Key tasks include contributing to the development of the accounting and finance function and supporting the implementation of a new accounting system.
Accountabilities within this role:
- Support the Director, FP&A with financial analysis
- Complete weekly reporting for utilization, capacity and prepare the monthly financial reporting package
- Complete bank reconciliations and reporting as directed by the Accounting Manager
- Work with client directors to prepare monthly invoicing; utilize customer portals to submit invoices as necessary
- Record customer payments; collaborate with client directors on collections
- Process vendor invoices and record payments
- Code and book monthly credit card transactions
- Adhere to monthly close schedule
- Maintain supporting information for audit
- Follow and enforce control and approval procedures
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
- Support implementation and migration to new accounting system
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Finance or Accounting required
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience in presenting financial information to executives and non-financial audiences
- Experienced with Financial Force preferred
- Knowledge of accounting
- Interest in improving processes
- Can do attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
