Key Responsibilities:
Friendly customer service
Cleaning and organization of Fitness and Community Center, Pools, and Marina.
Support of Community Center Activities
Accurate dissemination of Department information
Description of Duties:
Greet members and guests positively and provide exceptional customer service.
Educate members on the rules and standards of the Community Center, Pools, and Fitness Center.
Handle all front desk related activities, including:
- Open or Close the facility depending on assigned hours.
- Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with various questions about the Recreation Department.
- Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner; elevate to Recreation Manager as needed.
- Check members into Fitness Center and Pools: Confirming each user has an active Liability Waiver or obtaining a waiver, tracking the total number of users, and processing department forms.
- Sale of passes and merchandise: Operating cash registers, managing financial transactions, and balancing drawers.
- Process Access Card applications: Checking for eligibility in C3 software, instructing persons how to fill out forms, and taking identification photos.
- Take prospective members on tours of the Community Center and Pools
-Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the facility.
- Aid clubs and classes, vendors, and outside contractors, including lifeguards, trainers, and equipment servicing. Includes set-up of meeting spaces.
Fitness and Community Center Maintenance:
Monitor orderly operation of the equipment in the Fitness Center.
Performs daily maintenance tasks such as cleaning equipment, washing and stocking towels, checking for tv remotes, etc.
Other duties as assigned by the Recreation Manager.
