***Hilco Vision is searching for an experienced Buyer Planner to join the team! The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and executing the procurement plan for assigned product lines and suppliers, managing material flow and order fulfillment in accordance with established policies, sales forecasts, customer orders, production schedules, trends, and inventory management goals.***

**A Little Bit About You:**

* You have a BS degree in Business or Supply Chain paired with three to five years of experience in Planning/Procurement, Materials Management, or Commodity Management

* You have a strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, as well as forecasting and demand planning systems

* With proficiency in the MS Office suite, you have intermediate to strong skills in MS Excel and can understand and manipulate data sets

* You have clear and effective communication skills, and can work cross-functionally at all levels of the organization toward a common goal

* You have strong administrative organizational and mathematical skills

**The Nitty Gritty:**

* Purchase material for assigned product lines as required by the master schedule, in accordance with established planning procedures.

* Negotiate purchase order terms (price, payment terms, and delivery).

* Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery. Adjusts and expedites open purchase orders as necessary, communicating with suppliers to resolve availability issues

* Manages supplier relationships, evaluates vendor performance and actively identifies areas of opportunity for cost reduction and other supply improvements.

* Researches and identifies potential new sources for new and existing products.

* Partner cross-functionally with:

+ Product Managers to ensure SKU and Inventory optimization.

+ Marketing Department supporting new product launches and providing recommendations for alternate solutions or supply options where needed.

+ Operations expediting and facilitating PO receipts and inventory accuracy.

+ Customer Service regarding order accuracy or changes and providing alternative solutions to fulfill backorders.

* Reviews MRP messages for accuracy and takes appropriate action on exceptions.

* Monitors system planning parameters (safety stocks, order minimums, days of supply, lead times, etc.) and makes or recommends updates as necessary to maintain optimal system performance.

* Performs necessary actions related to Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for assigned product lines.
