The Repair Assessment Technician disassembles, cleans and inspects used centrifuges or parts

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Disassemble complete centrifuges or subassemblies of centrifuges.
  • Cleans deposits on centrifuge part using a process that is appropriate for the nature of the deposit.
  • Maintains cleaning solutions and supplies
  • Performs nondestructive testing of highly stressed parts using the dye penetration test method.
  • Records test findings in a dye test report and consults with the Product Safety Officer on any and all relevant findings.
  • Coordinates for further processing of parts with relevant findings as agreed upon with the Product Safety Officer
  • Visually inspects all repair parts and compiles a detailed inspection report.
  • Measures critical fits on parts
  • Records inspection findings and measurements in an inspection report and documents major damages with pictures
  • Reviews and completes required documentation and administrative paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Maintains a clean and organized environment.
  • Follows all QHSE rules and regulatory requirements.
