THE COMPANY
Orion Office REIT specializes in the ownership, acquisition and management of a diversified portfolio of mission-critical and corporate headquarter buildings in suburban markets across the U.S. The portfolio is comprised mostly of office, flex, government and medical buildings and is leased primarily on a single-tenant net lease basis to creditworthy tenants. Orion is publicly traded and internally managed, operating from offices in Phoenix, Arizona and New York, New York.
Job Location: Phoenix, Arizona.
JOB SUMMARY
This accounting team member will be a key contributor to Orion s SEC and managerial financial reporting and financial analysis. The Financial Reporting Analyst will:
- Participate in the preparation of external financial reporting including Forms 10-K/10-Q, earnings releases and other required SEC filings
- Prepare detailed supporting schedules and analysis to support disclosures contained in SEC filings
- Document tie-outs for external and internal reports to supporting files
- Prepare internal financial reports and support schedules for executive leadership
- Support quarterly and annual audit requests
- Perform research and monitor peer and industry filings to identify emerging trends and disclosure practices
- Assist in technical accounting research related to the proper application of accounting pronouncements and guidance
- Review and perform updates to property management ERP system for periodic lease transactions
- Create analytical reports, perform special projects or other duties supporting the general ledger close process, as needed
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 1+ year experience with SEC and managerial reporting
- Proficient user of Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Workiva reporting compliance platform preferred
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS
- Bachelor s degree in accounting
- Experience in public accounting preferred
- Certified Public Accountant preferred
