As a Finance Manager, you will lead and direct all accounting functions for a growing national and international manufacturing and distribution company. This key leadership role requires technical expertise in accounting, strategic financial guidance, and operational excellence to drive financial performance and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial records, statements, and reports ensuring GAAP compliance for the foreign parent company and maintain internal finance controls and accounting standards.
- Reconcile General Ledger Accounts monthly.
- Manage sales tax reporting for multiple states.
- Coordinate annual audit preparation for both U.S. and international parent companies.
- Manage biweekly payroll processing.
- Oversee Amazon Seller.com accounting operations.
- Assist in annual physical inventory with Operations Manager.
- Manage inventory valuation processes.
- Forecast and monitor cash flow, develop and monitor the annual budget.
- Mentor and supervise two staff accountants.
- Drive process efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee annual benefits program and insurance renewals.
- Manage contracted building cleaning services.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices.
- Partner with HR consulting company for human resources oversight.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in accounting.
- 8+ years of accounting experience with at least 5 years in a Controller or management role.
- Experience leading timely month-end closing processes.
- Solid technical accounting/US GAAP knowledge.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and ERP systems.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
