GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The PRS Clinical Supervisor must have experience with assessments, evaluations, managing cases, and home studies. Candidate must have supervisory experience, be self-motivated and possess excellent time management skills. Should be solution focused and task oriented with knowledge of community resources and experience working with diverse populations. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. PRS Clinical Supervisor is knowledgeable in connecting and collaborating with local resource providers in providing services for children and their sponsor.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Will carry a small caseload of home study and post release services, as needed.
  • Ensure staff comply with US and ORR policies, procedures, and mandated timeframes.
  • Responsible for the supervision of staff providing home study and post release services, and oversight of the department for Home Study and PRS Level III cases.
  • Gather and continuously report the progress of expected outcomes and implement improvement strategies.
  • Assess, identify, verify, and provide recommendations in areas where additional support, resources, or information may be needed to meet a child's needs and provisions of a safe environment.
  • Provide guidance on trauma informed crisis intervention strategies and services, as needed, or connect family to services to ensure child's safety and well-being in a crisis.
  • Evaluate recommendations made by staff on the sponsor's ability to provide appropriate care and safe living environment for the child and ensure assessments and screenings for human trafficking concerns are being conducted on an ongoing basis.

  • Assist in the coordination and scheduling of interviews, home visits, management of caseloads and travel for staff.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, safeguard confidential records, and protect personally identifiable information according to program regulations.
  • Reports concerns related to children and sponsors, life changing events and significant incidences to the program and ORR. Act as a mandated reporter and report abuse/neglect to child protective services and law enforcement according to the requirements by the state where services are being provided.
  • Participate in training, meetings, and maintain quality improvement initiatives as recommended.
  • This role requires travel to provide services, and conduct meetings with staff in surrounding areas in the U.S.
  • Related duties as assigned and may be revised as needed to meet program needs.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE and/or REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED

  • A Master of Social Work (MSW) or an equivalent degree in, psychology, sociology, or other behavioral science field, plus 2 years post graduate direct service experience; or a bachelor's in one of the aforementioned sciences, plus 6 years of clinical employment experience in the behavioral sciences.
  • Clinical supervisors must have prior supervisory experience and must be licensed to provide clinical supervision, so long as supervising PRS conducted across state lines does not violate state licensing rules.
  • Knowledge of family preservation, kinship care, trauma informed care, child welfare policies and procedures, and relevant state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Experience in conducting Home Studies, providing Post Release Services, and working with immigrant populations.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal/written).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to successfully interact with families, caseworkers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
  • A valid driver's license, available to travel to conduct in person visits and to different areas or regions nationally
