Systems Support Technician Opportunity at Westfalia Technologies, Inc.

What You'll Do:
- Document PLC code.
- Debug and troubleshoot PLC-base control systems at customer sites.
- Control systems testing, wiring, and installation/commissioning.
- On-call rotation to provide emergency phone support to customers.
- Support part and service sales for S/RMs, conveyors, palletizers, and robots.
- Accept, process, and follow up to parts orders for S/RMs, conveyors, palletizers, and robots.
- Provide service and support to customers with regard to preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, both in-house (25%) and on-site (75%).
- Interface with Sales and Engineering to meet customer requirements .
- Coordinate business information between customers, Sales, Engineering, and other associates.
- Participate in developing and maintaining strong communication and collaboration within the Service Department.
- Perform work in the Production Shop when no Service Work is available.
Qualifications
What Makes You the Ideal Candidate:
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects seamlessly and work autonomously.
- Proficient with Rockwell programming software and hardware, such as Logix500, Logix5000, PanelView, and Factory Talk View (HMI).
- Understanding of DeviceNet and Industrial Ethernet.
- Understand the function and operation of mechanical hardware (used for pallet, case, bottle, and bag handling systems) and/or packaging equipment or material handling equipment.
- Understanding of industrial electrical components.
- Understanding of control system requirements in a wash down environment.
- Understanding of and ability to select industrial sensors including photoeyes and proximity switches.
- Familiarity and understanding of the NEC.
- Experience in Industrial control system design, programming, and trouble shooting.
- Familiarity of Allen-Bradley PLC, HMI, and VFD hardware, and Siemens TIA Portal.
- Willingness to travel approximately 80% at times.
Your Credentials:
- BSEE or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1-4 years relevant experience
- Previous experience with electro/mechanical repair and trouble shooting.
Physical Considerations:
- This role involves a mix of physical tasks and desk work.
- Ability to work in varied temperature conditions and physically navigate around machinery setups.
