Manufacturing Area Manager:

HTI is seeking a Manufacturing Area Manager for a large manufacturer located in the Little Rock, Arkansas area. This is an onsite position at an outdoor facility. Pay rate depends on experience and education, and the range is approximately $90-$110k / year.

What You Need:

Two-year degree or equivalent courses and/or 5 years experience in industrial supervision, a four-year degree preferred.


Project management experience and formal Lean manufacturing training is preferred.


Prior experience in supervising a maintenance crew, and experience with vendor supervision and compliance.


Experience in continuous process environment.


Must demonstrate a proficient working knowledge of pneumatic convey, hydraulics, electronics, welding, have excellent problem-solving skills.


Must have good oral and written communication skills.


Willing to work in a rigorous environment including extreme heat, cold, dust, and wet conditions.


Must be able to walk, climb, twist, turn, grasp, lift, push, pull, reach, bend, squat and work on platforms in excess of 100 feet.



What Your Role Will Look Like:

Oversees specific manufacturing area staff, and the management of all activities that support Daily Operations.


Ensures Quality Control, managing the Quality and Flow of Raw Materials, Improves Reliability and Performance of New and Existing Equipment, Improving Mean Time between Failures, Elimination of Chronic Failures, Capital Planning and Project Spending, Maintains Operational and Mechanical Budget.


Provides Oversight and Training of Staff to ensure efficient operations. Maintains Documentation on Employee Performance and Accountability.


Maintains the required stock levels of Rolls and Dies and other Press Components.


Manages CAPEX Projects including Budget and Contractors per Contracts.


Plans and Schedules the Refurbishment of all needed Tooling.


Develop and Maintain Planned and Preventative Maintenance Schedule.


Responsible for Troubleshooting by Applying Critical Thinking Skills to Identify, Diagnose, and Repair Equipment Problems.


Maintains Accurate Production Tracking and Reporting Logs and Ensures Staff is Maintaining and Submitting in a timely manner.


Effectively Communicate to all Team Members and Management any Equipment Deficiencies.


Oversees Breakdown Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Focused Improvement, and 5S Projects.


Ensure Workers Adhere to Local, State, and Federal Codes and Regulations.


Responsible for all EHS Standards Enforcement and Records Keeping, Area OEE, Mechanical, Production Goals, Reporting, and Maintaining a Clean Work Environment.
