Position Purpose
The School of Nursing at the University of Central Missouri invites applicants for the position of Assistant Instructor of Nursing. This 9-month non- tenure track faculty appointment will being August 2024. We are looking for faculty who are committed to providing quality and innovation in nursing.
The Position's Responsibilities include:
- This position is primarily for the undergraduate program including face to face, clinical, and skills teaching.
- Faculty assignments, committee work, and development of curriculum will be dependent upon program assessment and school needs.
- Faculty are expected to actively participate in committee work, service activities, and student advising.
Education & Formal Training Master's degree (Specify field(s) of study below)
Other Education & Formal Training Required: - Earned Master of Science ( MSN ) in Nursing
Preferred:- Doctorate in Nursing ( DNP or PhD)
Computer Skills Word-Processing, Presentation, Other
Experience Required: - Two years nursing experience within the last five years.
- Unencumbered, current, active registered nursing licensure in Missouri
Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality
