Family in Maplewood is seeking a part-time caregiver for their beautiful 8-month-old son. Typical hours are Mondays and Fridays from 9am-5pm and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9/10am-3/4pm.
**Duties include:**
Reading to Child, playing with him, following behind him as he crawls/walks so he does not fall, and feeding him bottles and solids. Holding Baby while he naps if he refuses to go down in his crib. Taking Child on walks to nearby parks in warmer weather. Tidying up after the baby.
**Ideal nanny:**
Ideal nanny is able to run after a baby or toddler. They are patient, warm, organized, responsive, responsible, fun, honest, trustworthy, friendly, enthusiastic, and a good communicator. They have experience caring for infants and toddlers. Ideal caregiver will wear a mask while indoors with Baby. They must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and up to date on flu shots and TDAP vaccines. They need to have a car and be able to be paid on the books.
**About the child:**
This 8-month-oldis curious, energetic, happy, smart, and independent. He likes books, crawling around and pulling up on things, exploring outside, looking in mirrors, playing with toys, and being talked to. When he's awake, he wants to explore on his own.
**About the parents:**
These first-time parents love to be as hands-on as possible. As attorneys, they are cautious and wish to find a nanny who is confident and puts them at ease. Both are Covid-19 vaccinated. As the child gets older, Parents will use positive affirmations to reinforce good behavior and provide explanations to the child for guidelines they have in place.
