Job Summary
The Student Front Desk Receptionist at CARES serves to assist with front desk coverage and other duties as assigned. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of CARES during peak times by professionally addressing the needs of visitors and callers. Additionally, the student receptionist is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the reception center, student lounge areas, and meeting rooms. The receptionist may also be tasked to assist with operations and special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greeting and Direction: Warmly welcome all students and visitors to CARES. Assist and direct them to the appropriate locations or staff members based on their specific needs.
* Phone Management: Answer incoming phone calls during the designated lunch coverage period. Route calls effectively to the appropriate staff members, ensuring that inquiries are addressed promptly.
* Reception, Lounge and study room Maintenance: Keep the receptionist area and student lounge tidy and organized, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere for visitors and students alike.

Special Projects and Other Duties: Occasionally, the receptionist may be assigned special tasks, which could range from assisting with CARES event setups to dropping off packages to other campus locations or other duties as specified by the CARES team

Written and verbal communication skills, customer service, multitasking and prioritizing, dependability, familiarity with Microsoft Office, problem solving, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail.
