The Maintenance group at Haartz is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Industrial Mechanic to join our growing team! New ideas, new technologies and new ways of thinking are driving our future!
This is what you will be doing:
As a Mechanic on our 2nd shift, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing our facility equipment and assisting the Maintenance Supervisor by performing some of the following duties.
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Lubricates and cleans parts.
- Starts devices to test their performance.
- Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Installation, troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, light plumbing and welding.
- Basic understanding of blue prints and equipment identification.
- Works effectively in a team-oriented environment where trust, communication and teamwork are encouraged.
- Works safely and follow all safety and environmental guidelines as specified by Haartz.
Hours: 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM, with a Saturday rotation (every 4-5 weeks)
This is what you should bring:High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and 3 - 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
