Hiring Opportunity: Columbus, Ohio

Our client is looking to hire two day shift Maintenance Electricians on their day shift (7am - 3:30pm). Our client is one of the largest plastic extrusion suppliers in the state and specialize in custom profiling for a variety of different clients. The maintenance electricians will responsible for performing a wide variety of skilled mechanical, electronic and electrical repairs to facilities, machinery and equipment. Successful candidates will have strong understating of electrical troubleshooting to include 480V, 3 phase motors, and AC-DC voltage.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

- Must have a strong knowledge of electrical maintenance to include 480V and 3 phase motors.
- High School Graduate or equivalent required
- Knowledge of a Voltmeter, voltage, current, and resistance
- Understand Gear boxes -bearings -seals- mechanical drives-power transmission etc.
- Understanding of Water pumps and gear pumps and seals for them and how they work as far as priming
- Understanding of how to align motor couplings sprockets and pulleys
- Technical school training or relevant experience, State of Ohio certification in mechanical maintenance or equivalent. (preferred)
- Strong computer knowledge
- Heavy lifting ability

Responsibilities:

- Performs troubleshooting operations to diagnose the condition of facilities, equipment and machinery and takes necessary action to affect repairs and/or adjustments
- Make set ups and adjustments on production equipment
- Perform a wide variety of maintenance, testing, inspection and repair functions
- Responsible for entering in hours in a CMMS system every day and signing out inventory to work orders
- Change motors and read wiring diagrams
- Change drive chains and adjust use chain breaks and different chain links etc.
- Test Fuses
- Read electrical and mechanical prints blueprints
