Skilled Industrial | Production Operator | Rotating Shift | Evaluation Hire | Sycamore, IL

Shifts Available: 2 Shifts - 8:00am to 8:00pm & 8:00pm to 8:00am working 3 days on and 3 days off

Pay: $22.43/hour + Shift Differential $1.00/hour

Role Purpose: As a Production Operator at our Sycamore, IL facility, you play a pivotal role in our operations. Your responsibilities encompass all aspects of the production process, from sourcing raw materials to assisting in the packaging and shipping of final products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare dry and liquid feed stock batches to maintain continuous operation of the system.
• Assemble and disassemble system components and mechanical equipment as required.
• Package and label finished products accurately.
• Document food safety, quality, and production information meticulously.
• Support with maintaining a strong safety mindset and compliance with safety policies.
• Uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and GMP standards while strictly adhering to food safety protocols.
• Coordinate system functions to ensure consistent product quality.
• Collaborate closely with process engineers, maintenance, quality control, and report directly to the granulation supervisor.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to various conditions including fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
• Occasional exposure to extreme conditions on site and loud noise levels.
• Regular work near moving mechanical parts and outside conditions including inclement weather, heat, humidity, and dust.
• Also operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment.

Physical Demands:

• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, work from heights, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently lift and/or move products ranging from 30 to 55 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, and adjusting focus.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, lift and carry 55 lbs., and perform physical duties.
• Strong, positive safety mindset essential for all activities.
• Mechanically minded with critical thinking skills for production processes and equipment troubleshooting.
• Willingness to learn new roles, including computer control board operations.
• Commitment to compliance with GMP and food safety policies.
• Open, honest, and direct communication style.
• Self-starting, self-managing, goal-oriented, and focused on continuous improvement.
• Dependable and punctual with flexible scheduling availability for 12-hour shifts, rotating day and night shifts monthly.
