Description:
POSITION PORPOSE
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Screen new employees, volunteers and students. Reviews history, gives immunization; establish necessary lab work, radiology screenings, urine tests, tuberculin screening, etc.
Prepares charts for physician including history, lab work results, immunization record update, etc.
Updates Occupational Health Managements system as appropriate.
Work with Employee Assistance Program and Human Resources with employees who may not be fit for duty related to alcohol, drugs, or other issues. Assist with determining if they are fit to work.
Assist employees/SDLs/HR with American Disability Act evaluations as appropriate. Work with Human Resources/Recruitment with this process.
Assist employees with Body Fluid Exposures. Nurses will rotate on call for off shifts and weekends. Able to direct employee what to do after body fluid exposure. Appropriate reports filed and blood work follow up.
Assist employee with how to report work related injury.
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Current Michigan Nursing License
Graduation from accredited nursing program: Effective January 1, 2013 all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire.
