High Level Statement of the Role
The Material Handler's role is to assist in providing parts to the production line.
High Level Roles & Responsibilities
- Adheres to all safety and quality guidelines.
- Uses a variety of available tools to supply the production line, or specific machines, with materials used in production. This may require specific certifications on powered equipment.
- Stock material in correct storage locations, and rotate according to FIFO procedure
- Issue material to the production floor by filling stock pull requests and/ or Kanban requests
- Issue material according to all associated procedures and work instructions
- Complete cycle counts required for the area
- Pursue continuous process improvements
- May be required to step into production positions as needed to meet production requirements.
- Work well in a team environment
- Participates in performance feedback.
- Can anticipate needs of line based upon schedule requirements and can independently make decisions to support needs.

Technical Skills - Knowledge of safety policy

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Ability to use powered equipment
Communication Skills - Ability to communicate within the KEG team environment
Leadership Skills - Able and willing to contribute to the success of KEG's business initiatives i.e. scrap reduction, quality incentive program
