Job Details

The licensed practical nurse serves as direct care staff, providing direct and indirect patient care to meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The LPN monitors continuous cardiac rhythm patterns, analyzes and interprets cardiac rhythms and communicates variances to physician, charge nurse and/or registered nurse. The LPN provides clerical support such as answering telephones, entering physician orders, maintaining patient records and conducting 24-hour chart checks. The LPN maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards. The LPN communicates with physicians and team members regarding changes in the patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. The LPN responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or responses to treatment. The LPN performs general nursing duties in all departments under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Qualified Candidate must commit to enrolling in RN program within two years of hire date and obtaining RN licensure within 5 years of hire date.
