We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Intellectual Property Attorney to join our legal team. This position is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in Intellectual Property (IP) law. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a broad range of intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and who possesses a deep understanding of the complexities of IP law.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Intellectual Property Attorney, your core responsibilities will include

  • Providing expert legal advice and guidance to our clients on all aspects of IP law, including patent law, trademark law, copyright law, and trade secrets law.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IP-related agreements, including licensing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and technology transfer agreements.
  • Conducting due diligence in connection with potential acquisitions and investments, including IP portfolio analysis and risk assessment.
  • Representing our clients in IP disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
  • Working closely with our clients' business teams to develop and implement IP strategies that align with their business objectives.
  • Keeping abreast of developments in IP law and advising our clients on potential impacts and strategies.
  • Providing training and education to our clients and their employees on IP matters.

Qualifications

To be considered for the role of Permanent Intellectual Property Attorney, candidates must possess the following qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an IP attorney, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Admission to practice law in the state.
  • Strong knowledge of IP law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
  • Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IP-related agreements.
  • Experience in conducting IP due diligence in connection with potential acquisitions and investments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to prioritize work effectively.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
