Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. Our team is growing, and we are hiring a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Connecticut Dental Lab in Rocky Hill, CT for a Fixed Department Manager
The regular hours for this position are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:
- Act as liaison and intercessor between Department Managers and General Manager.
- Communicate with Sales/Marketing about ideas for upcoming promotional events.
- Insure we have adequate equipment and staff to support sales.
- Communicate with Doctor Relations Team and Supervisors to ensure our customers' needs are being met.
- Education and training for Managers.
- Assist in training new technicians on all phases of products.
- Assists with product pricing and task values.
- Perform evaluations of managers and technicians at their appropriate intervals.
- Budget yearly payroll increases for non-production team members
- Complete appropriate forms documenting absences due to illness, vacation, tardiness, etc.
- Perform any necessary disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor production flow to prevent unnecessary overtime.
- Plan improvements in techniques and work flow.
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must have computer skills including typing and familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
- Verbally communicate with all levels of staff, leadership and customers maintaining a positive demeanor and nurturing teamwork.
- Must be familiar with Performance Management processes, Project Management, Coaching, Quality Management, and Developing Standards.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:- Required: College degree or equivalent work experience.
- Required: 5+ years manufacturing experience.
- Required 5+ years of management experience.
- Minimum 2 years dental technician experience, exhibiting competency in area of expertise in order to guide and train others.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, obtained through experience or recognized through observation.

Physical Requirements:- Perform tasks at multiple workstations-standing and sitting for extended periods of time.
