Logs & Records Specialist

Meridian, MS

As a Logs and Records Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating aircraft engine, module and accessory log cards and records. The logs and records specialist screens incoming records for accuracy, required inspections and maintenance; will consolidate and re-create records as necessary, provide input to the AEMS (Aircraft Engine Management System) through ETRs (Engine Transaction Reports) and perform closeout of log books upon completion of maintenance transactions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintaining and updating aircraft engine, module and accessory log cards and records.
  • Management of engine logs and records to ensure necessary inspections, component life tracking and configuration management of engines and components are maintained according to customer established requirements in the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series, Adour F405-RR-401 configuration management plan and additional contractual documents as they may apply.
  • Perform closeout of logbooks upon completion of maintenance transactions.
  • Data entry into the NALCOMIS or equivalent system and ETS (Engine Tracking System).
  • Additional duties include data reporting as required for effective production or scheduling; technical directive scheduling, tracking and materials ordering.
  • Short term travel and shift work may be required.
Basic Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent with 3+ of experience in administering aircraft/engine related logs and records
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to work varying shifts and overtime
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, CaC which requires USA Citizenship
  • Experience with SRC (Scheduled Removal Cards), ASR (Aeronautical Screening Records), EHR (Engine History Record) and AESR (Aeronautical Engine Screening Records) screening records, time calculations and general knowledge of cards.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Access Database experience
  • Familiarity with the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2
  • Knowledge of NALCOMIS/OIMA and familiarization with ad hoc reporting withing NALCOMIS
  • Working knowledge of SAP
