About the Role

The Senior ElectricalElectronics Engineer is responsible to undertake andor support development, integration, and testing of commercial off the shelf (COTS), military off the shelf (MOTS) andor custom electricalelectronic systems. The Senior ElectricalElectronics Engineer contributes to andor guides a small team to complete allocated work packages in line with schedule and cost constraints

As a Senior Electrical/Electronic Engineer you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

  • Deliver a solution for COTSMOTS andor custom electricalelectronic systemssub-systemsproducts in accordance with requirements;
  • Evaluate vendor equipment, and prepare and analyse test reports;
  • Document design and implementation details;
  • Participate in formal andor lead informal design reviews;
  • Support creation and review of systemsub-system requirements;
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to agree to designs, interfaces and protocols;
  • Support estimation for bidding activities, including helping to define and shape scope;
  • Identify andor support business improvement initiatives for the ElectricalElectronic Engineering function; and

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
  • Substantial experience in electricalelectronic engineering and related technologies;
  • Qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in a related discipline;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as contribute in a professional team environment;
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills, including the ability to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity;
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent activities, while understanding and managing priorities, dependencies and risks;
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with strong attention to detail; and
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
