A hedge fund client in NYC is looking to bring on a Systems Engineer with competencies across the entire Microsoft stack with heavy expertise in PowerShell automation scripting.
Major Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain network, server, Active Directory and IaaS/PaaS cloud services in a Microsoft-centric environment containing some Linux workloads.
- Designs, build and maintain corporate data storage and compute resources consisting of various SAN and backup solutions, VMWare Hypervisors and Cisco UCS Blades.
- Script / automation development for repeatable processes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.
- Implementation of solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS and M365, as well as various other supporting cloud services.
- Participate in 24x7x365 coverage and support for all associated infrastructure.
- Maintain adherence to our existing change control and documentation process.
Requirements
- Expert in Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Microsoft365, Azure AD/AD, Windows Server 2019+, DHCP, DNS, Intune.
- In-depth knowledge of email messaging systems.
- Expert in hybrid and cloud-based compute, storage, and containerization solutions.
- Expert in automation and scripting. PowerShell preferred with exposure to Terraform and SQL.
- 3 -5 years experience with AWS and Azure public cloud.
- 5 + years experience designing and implementing high availability, active/active, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience with Linux server systems administration such as RedHat and CentOS.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills along with collaborative team skills are required.
