Bluehawk Consulting is seeking a Construction Quality & Field Inspector to support our client, an aerospace leader. Our client is making space travel possible, and your work will directly support putting people, research, and products safely in space.


Project Overview

The Construction Quality & Field Inspector shall be the client s direct representative at the jobsite. This individual shall be responsible for observing the general Supplier s work and notifying the client when deficiencies are observed.


Responsibilities

  • The following defines the specific tasks, but is not meant to be exhaustive as each project will have its unique requirements:
  • Conduct daily inspections of all phases of construction to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
  • Identify, document, & report discrepancies, defects, or non-conformance issues to the project management team.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections and prepare reports for project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Suppliers to implement corrective actions & ensure continuous improvement in construction practices.
  • Oversee all Suppliers on site for general compliance. Prepare daily reports including description of Supplier work activities, labor and equipment identification and quantity, and perform various measurements for payment.
  • Perform field inspections and maintain inspection records for special materials or equipment identified by the project manager or field inspector as needing additional oversight.
  • Take daily photographs and ensure contract folders are updated on shared drive.
  • Review planned vs actual schedule status & keep the client &/or Project Manager appraised of any risks to schedule.
  • Verify Supplier compliance with the required regulatory or 3rd party inspections.
  • Interpret construction drawings and specification on construction projects. Communicate with Suppliers, supervisors, and other inspectors regarding specifications and qualification test results and site progress. Maintain field notes and related documentation.
  • Ensure work complies with design-build documents.
  • Provides field data, existing conditions, and recommendations to implement field changes and investigates claims of existing conditions or changes by Suppliers.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience required.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time.
