Overview:
NEWPORT BEACH, CA- A high-profile family seeks a fun-loving, energetic, and dedicated nanny to join their esteemed dual household team. The family consists of a delightful 8-year-old son, a charming 13-year-old daughter, and an infant who has his own nanny. Sharing 50/50 custody with their mother, who also engages a nanny for her 4-year-old son, this family offers a unique and enriching environment. This new hire must be an excellent team player with a positive outlook on life! Discretion is also extremely important as they are in the public eye.
This position entails a 5-day-a-week commitment with occasional weekends, though rare. The family values positivity, energy, and resourcefulness, and seeks a nanny who can match their vibrant energy, provide mentorship, and contribute to the holistic development of the children. You will work at one household on Mondays and Tuesdays from 7 AM - 5:30 PM, and then at the other household from Wednesdays - Friday from 6:30 AM for morning drop-off, off during the day, and return for school pick-up through dinnertime.
Responsibilities include drop-off and pick-up from school, meal preparation (taking into account the son's dairy allergy and health-conscious dietary preferences), collaboration on house management, engaging the children in creative activities, and providing guidance and attention. The ideal candidate exudes positivity, energy, and enthusiasm, possessing a proactive and resourceful approach to childcare. Candidates should demonstrate responsibility & punctuality, and possess impeccable child development skills. Being EARLY for their extracurriculars is considered on time.
Additionally, their 8-year-old has ADHD and requires a nanny who is patient, understanding, and skilled in managing his unique needs. He loves soccer, swimming, and flag football, so a nanny who shares his passion for physical activity and can engage him in these activities would be ideal. For the 13-year-old daughter, the nanny can serve as a mentor and big sister figure, providing guidance, support, and companionship during this crucial stage of her development. Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate with flexibility for a 40-hour workweek, along with benefits to be discussed during the interview process. As an added convenience, a car will either be provided for use while on the job or they will reimburse for gas/mileage, TBD. Orange County residents preferred. Start date is ASAP!
Qualifications:
BA/BS college degree | AA in related field of study
CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)
Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position
A passion for working with children
Two+ years childcare experience
Excellent work and personal references
U.S. driver's license (this does not apply to NYC residents)
Complete Stop the Silence Training upon Membership
Fluent in English/Bilingual a plus
Competent swimmer
Non-smoker
Willing to go through extensive Background Check
Must be Live-Scanned and registered with Trustline if CA resident
Willingness to show proof of immunizations
No-cell phone driving signed guarantee
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
