CM&W is looking for a Drafter at our Hannibal, MO location. The Drafter is responsible for producing and maintaining technical documents used to produce product components including 2D drawings (blueprints) and 3D models to engineering standards.


What You'll Do:

  • Prepare technical drawings (blueprints) of component and assembly designs according to company standards.
  • Responsible for storing and maintaining electronic drawings, models, revisions, and meta-data in the engineering Product Data Management database (PDM).
  • Responsible for understanding and translating information provided by engineers, such as part tolerances, geometric tolerances, critical dimensions, and cosmetic and finishing standards.
  • Capture 1st article or fabricated prototype pieces into 3D and creating drawings needed to implement in full production.
  • Acquire third-party supplier models and drawings for incorporation into assemblies and Bills-Of-Material.
  • Draft Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) and working with colleagues to release to production.
  • Use Computer Aided Design and Drafting systems (SolidWorks) to successfully produce technical drawings and blueprints.


What You'll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-year degree or certification in technical drafting.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks.
  • Strong knowledge of drafting systems and process.
  • 3D design software proficiency. SolidWorks experience.
  • Strong ethical conduct and a high level of accountability.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work requirements.
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven attitude.


What Helps:

  • Understanding of ANSI Y14.5 a plus
