The Painter is responsible for executing pre-painting activities such as cleaning, scraping, sanding surfaces; supporting the maintenance team with drywall panels, cracks and concealment; and ensure all projects are completed to specification and organizational standards. JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for painting the exterior and interior areas of a companys projects. Execute pre-painting activities, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and masking of adjacent surfaces prior to painting, papering, texturing, etc. if required. Follow managements instructions in maintaining an inventory of paint and supplies. Follow the managers instruction in executing the job utilizing appropriate finishes and applications. Comply with OSHA/ SDS guidelines with respect to the use of hazardous chemicals. Cary out after project cleaning of areas, supplies, and equipment at the completion of project.
