The Financial Analyst will analyze and report on monthly financial statements, helping translate fiscal results into actionable operational improvements. The Financial Analyst will deliberately examine areas within the organization where cost savings may be achieved, quantifying and tracking any identified and realized savings. Financial Analyst will support strategic projects, leveraging financial and analytic capabilities. Assists in the annual budgeting process and helps to generate regular reports. Responds to Ad Hoc Reporting requests and answers questions from users of the various financial reports.

This position can be in-office, hybrid, or remote (based out of Virginia - must be able to work eastern time zone business hours). Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. **

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business and financial data: Your expertise will provide the foundation for strategic decisions, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve.
  • Create financial models: Develop models that support key decisions, making a tangible impact on our organizations growth and efficiency.
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities: Uncover areas for cost savings and process enhancements that will boost our overall performance.
  • Support senior management and the Board: Provide critical analytical, forecasting, and reporting support to our leaders, influencing major business strategies.
  • Analyze industry trends: Keep us competitive by making informed recommendations based on your industry insights.
  • Develop automated tools: Streamline our data processes with innovative reporting and forecasting tools, enhancing our productivity.
  • Guide cost analysis processes: Establish and enforce effective policies, provide clear trends and forecasts, and recommend actions that drive financial success.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, investment banking, or other related fields.
  • Strong working familiarity with accounting and financial reporting, using BI systems (ideally Oracle/Netsuite and Tableau).
  • Advanced Excel skills required; working knowledge of SQL preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, achieve tight deadlines and take initiative on multiple projects.
  • Superior interpersonal skills are required; must have the ability to work well with teams.
