Our major banking client in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a qualified Scrum Master to fulfill a 6+ month contract.
This position is hybrid with 2 days remote.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project(s) utilizing standard project management tools and techniques
- Serve as Scrum Master for multiple projects
- Establish and utilize a comprehensive project plan to monitor and report project deliverables
- Coordinate in resolving issues, addressing risks; escalate concerns, and facilitate decision-making
- Develop and implement key metrics to measure/report the progress and value of the project
- Conduct/Steer different scrum events such as Daily Standup, Grooming and Planning, Demo, Retrospective/Lesson Learned session to help implement departmental vision of Agile
- Nurture an environment where project issues can be raised without any fear of blame, or being judged
- Work with management to achieve efficiencies across multiple projects and to implement lesson learned
- Work with intra/inter-departmental Project Manages and Scrum Masters to facilitate dependencies
- Provide concise project status report in a different form with appropriate details considering the audience (project team, stakeholders and executives) in a regular or as requested basis
- Create and maintain 'as is' or 'to be' workflow and other system documentation for ongoing project
- Proactively identify trends in project implementation and recommend process improvement
- Other responsibilities as assigned by department management
Required Qualification: - IT Project Management experience (3+ years)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodology (3+ years)
- Hands-on Scrum Master experience (2+ years)
- Experience working with tools VSTS, ALM, Jira or Version One
- Strong ability to partner with cross-functional teams to deliver project goals
- Diplomatic, flexible, and 'easy to work with' personality
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to perform planning for multiple initiatives/projects, managing all tasks required to provide services to meet business needs within the timeline and the budget
- Ability to effectively manage project scope, and communicate with partners in IT, business, and vendors
- Good computer skills, including experience in tools like MS Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and others
- Hands-on experience with any agile collaboration tool(s)
Preferred Qualification: - PPM Certification
- PSM/CSM Certification
- Prior Banking domain experience
Notes:
3-5 years of experience with IT Project Management, Agile/Scrum, Scrum Master. PPM, PSM, CSM certifications preferred. Prior banking experience preferred.
No USC/GC from vendors- most other visas ok
