Position Overview
The Patient Services Representative provides support services for Vandal Health Clinic. Duties include rescheduling patient appointments, triaging client telephone calls for clinicians, processing new patient paperwork and confidential information. This position is responsible for maintaining patient records and providing general information about Vandal Health Clinic to patients, faculty, staff, students, and the public about services and certain policies and procedures. The Patient Services Representative will report directly to the Revenue Manager.

Position Qualifications
Required Experience
- One year performing office support functions such as document or records management, composing or editing and formatting business documents, reception and/or customer service
- Experience using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet research
Required Education - High School Diploma or equivalent
Required OtherAdditional Preferred - Experience understanding and knowledgeable of medical terminology
- Experience and knowledgeable using Electronic Health/Medical Records
- Experience in a mental health or medical clinic setting
- Experience working with or knowledgeable of the HIPAA of 1996 and FERPA, pertaining to releasing protected health information
- Two years of general office experience OR one year of office or customer service experience in a healthcare setting; OR equivalent education/experience
