Location Note: This a hybrid role for our Wakefield, MA office.

The Purpose of Your Role: This is an entry level positon to develop into a full time financial planning role. This role will start out learning various departments at Sentinel and assisting a team of Financial Planners, Para Planners, Operations and Client Relationship Managers.

This role will allow you the opportunity to cultivate your own sales approach before moving into a quota carrying sales position in the organization.

This is an exciting and educational opportunity for someone who is looking to start a sales career in financial services.

What you'll bring to Sentinel:

  • Exceptional prioritization, written and verbal communication skills to manage multiple types of client and team requests, working effectively in a team based environment
  • Collaboration with multiple teams across the Wealth Management unit
  • Strategies to support new efficiency measures

What you'll be responsible for:
  • Knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, eMoney, Salesforce, Orion, and various custodial platforms.
  • Support a team of financial planners with arranging participant education with plan sponsors - onsite or virtual.
  • Maintain and update charts/graphs in presentations
  • Work on operational/planner projects as needed
  • Collaborate with financial planners, compliance, and marketing on presentation & marketing needs
  • Act as a Financial Wellness Educator (once licensed when needed) (May require travel)
  • Prepare client paperwork.
  • Assist the Operations Team with Occasional Requests during audits

What you need to have:
Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, organizational development, communications, or related field.
  • Ability to obtain Series 65, and Life Accident and Health licenses within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to obtain CFP
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
