We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, an excellent work ethic, and a desire to provide temporary support in a manufacturing facility. Weyerhaeuser Company is currently recruiting for Entry Level Forklift Operators. This operational role is key in safely ensuring the effective and efficient handling of materials, resulting in the quality lumber that will be shipped to our customers. *Starting pay is $19.48! *This posting will be used to fill openings within our Shipping Department (10 Hours Shifts) and CDK Department (12 Hour Shifts).Key Functions:Safely operates the forklift to move lumberServices the forklift as neededConducts and documents pre-shift inspections on forklift before useTotal commitment to working safely and following all company/site rules and regulationsResponsible for housekeeping in assigned areaResponsible for safe operation of equipment in assigned areaFeeding or placing items onto equipment for processing or removing items after processingInterpreting work instructions and successfully completing tasks as delegatedSafe start up and shut down of equipment in assigned area of responsibilityHigh school diploma or equivalent1-2 years of prior forklift experience1-2 years operating heavy mobile equipmentDemonstrated commitment to safe work behaviors and practices, as well as all company policies and proceduresPrevious experience in an industrial environment preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsBasic math computer skillsResume detailing education and experience required for considerationAble to perform all essential job functions of an industrial environment, including lifting 2-20 pounds regularly, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, climbing steps/ladders, working from heights, standing or walking for 2-3 hours at a time for 10 hours or more, working in extreme temperatures, dust, and noise while wearing all safety equipmentFlexible with schedule and able to work any shift, weekends, overtime, and holidays as neededAbout Wood ProductsWe've been delivering quality building products and solutions to our customers for more than 100 years.
