I am recruiting for a Manufacturing Company in need of a qualified Electronics Technician. The company is well-established and has a great company culture leading to an excellent retention rate.

Job Summary:

Successful candidate must have an Associates Degree and the experience and desire to utilize analog and digital measurement equipment to test and troubleshoot power supplies and other electronic assemblies. Must be a self-starter and capable of working with the engineering staff performing design development and product verification testing on power conversion equipment. Excellent electronic test and troubleshoot skills required. Electronics assembly and repair skills desired. 2+ years related experience desired.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with Engineering to assemble and test prototype and production components, breadboard circuits, power supplies and electronic equipment. Build breadboard circuits from schematics
  • Troubleshoot and repair power supplies and electronic equipment including development units and customer field returns. Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance
  • Accurately document schematic and assembly drawing changes for review and processing as official Engineering Change Notices.
  • Take test data per Engineering instruction or documented Test Procedures. Accurately record data on data sheets, create reports and communicate with engineering to resolve non-compliant conditions. Work with programmable data acquisition systems, PC based Data Logging and programmable power supplies and load banks. Sets up standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model. Analyzes and interprets test data. Writes technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system's operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations.
  • Provide Testability/Manufacturability feedback to engineering. Discuss layout and assembly procedures and problems with Electronics Engineer and draw sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units. Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
  • Must be familiar with electronic components, such as capacitors, resistors, semiconductor devices and assemblies used in electronic equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
