K-5 Science Curriculum Writer:
We are looking for experienced, dynamic, tech-savvy science educators with proven K-5 curriculum writing experience. These individuals will work collaboratively as content writers to create and edit high-quality products for our Dynamic Science curriculum. We are seeking individuals who have elementary teaching experience and have served as a department or district leader in elementary science. This role is fully remote.
As a Science Content Writer, you will:
- Create and develop science curriculum and assessments with strict adherence to company style and voice guidelines
- Collaborate virtually with others to develop, maintain, and revise curriculum/assessment documents and resources based on feedback, systematic review, and data analysis
- Seek out and apply new learning in research, emerging trends, instructional strategies/materials, current technology, and company initiatives to improve curriculum and assessment
- Proofread and revise content for clarity and accuracy
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in education or related field
- Experience teaching K-5 science (5+ years)
- Prior K-5 curriculum writing experience (3+ years)
- Campus or district curriculum leadership experience (2+ years)
Additional Skills:
- In-depth understanding of the 2024 K-5 Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills
- Well-versed in three-dimensional curriculum and instructional design
- Deep understanding of the components in the Framework for K-12 Science Education
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work on multiple projects while meeting required deadlines
- Self-motivator
- Attention to detail
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills
- Expertise with Google Workspace
- Ability to work during the regular work day
- Minimum availability of 30 hours per week
