Alation Data Catalog Lead

Role Overview:
As an Alation Data Catalog Lead you will be responsible for managing, implementing & overseeing the Alation Data Catalog for Leading Healthcare Client. This involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the data assets are catalogued, accessible and utilized effectively to support enterprise data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong background in data governance, data management, and familiarity with Alation Data Catalog Platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead Alation implementations for enterprise clients.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their data governance requirements and define project scope.
- Configure and customize Alation to meet client needs.
- Develop data lineage and create business glossaries.
- Integrate Alation with other data management and analytics tools.
- Train users on Alation functionality and best practices.
- Provide ongoing support to clients after implementation.
- Document lessons learned and contributed to knowledge base articles.
Success Profile
- Proven experience with data catalog platforms especially with Alation Data Catalog.
- Experience working with clients in a consultative environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Has been involved in projects with offshore-onshore collaboration.
- Strong understanding of data architecture and metadata management.
Qualifications and Skills
- 5-10 years of experience with data governance and data management best practices.
- Self-driven with strong desire for rapid career growth, aligning with Fractal s core values: Client First, Extreme Accountability, Humbel, Hungry and Smart
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- SQL Knowledge Intermediate.
- Work with geographically distributed team and cross-functional team.
- Proven experience of successful data catalog implementation.
Pay:
The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $110,000 - $145,000. You are also, eligible for discretionary annual bonus.

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a free time PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
