We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Mid-Level Submarine Inventory and Logistics specialist. This position will be located on-site at the customer location in Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, RI.
**Responsibilities:**
* Provide inventory management for a Photonics Repair facility. Ensure that all parts, tooling and test equipment are available for on-site repairs and sourced to meet demand levels.
* Assist with the development of a process and tracking system to support fleet repair requirements. Including work package development and record management.
* Understand and investigate line of balance, obsolescence issues, parts availability and maintainability. Track CASREPs, cannibalizations, and inventory to develop line of balance reports and assess items with highest impact to the fleet.
* Track CASREPs and cannibalizations to identify parts availability
* Assist with sourcing navy material through procurement package development and investigating sources of supply. Ensure that procurement orders are tracked and delivered to support fleet schedules.
**Requirements:**
* Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Expert proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.
* Minimum of four years active duty submarine Imaging system experience, preferably with Photonics Masts, or submarine logistics.
* In lieu of active duty experience, an additional 4 years (total of 8) of full-time engineering experience in the operation, maintenance, installation, test and/or repair of submarine Imaging equipment will be considered
* Associates or Bachelor's degree will receive priority
* Position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance with the US government. An active security clearance is strongly preferred.
