Desktop Support Specialist

Position Summary:

The Desktop Support Specialist will be responsible for maintaining end user enterprise workstation systems; provide second level support to helpdesk desk personnel and to resolve daily issues that arise. He/she must have experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and hardware troubleshooting in a corporate network environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for installation and maintenance of desktop and laptop systems, including operating systems, application installations, upgrades and repairs
  • Documentation of all Add Move and Change processes
  • Ensures safety and privacy of business networks and data
  • Responsible for detailed tracking of assets
  • Log all help desk interactions
  • Redirect problems to appropriate resource
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
Position Requirements:
  • 3 + years supporting end users in a corporate environment
  • 3 + years supporting a Microsoft end user systems (Windows7, Windows XP)
  • 3 + years supporting Microsoft Applications (Office 2003, 2007, 2010)
  • Intermediate knowledge of IP networking and network components
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, a self-starting attitude with strong communication skills
  • Must be service oriented and reliable, providing consistent follow-through
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks, manage time and multi-task in a high paced environment
Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business, Communications or related field
  • Lenovo business systems knowledge a plus


BASE PAY RANGE:$26.00 - $30.00 per hour
