My name is Ana, and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group. We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Technical Writer for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Lincolnshire IL or Holtsville NY (HYBRID both locations). Details for the position are as follows:
Contract role of 1 year, possible extensions. Pay range $40-44/hr. Hybrid - 2 days Onsite / 3 days Remote.
Job Description:
- Develop and write technical content, including descriptions, installation procedures, operating instructions, maintenance, and troubleshooting information.
- Conduct interviews with SMEs to gather data for content. Responsible for handling multiple projects at one time in a dynamic environment.
- Coordinate, manage, and control documentation development projects and deliverables.
Qualifications: - Excellent writing skills with the ability to clearly translate highly technical information into easily used and understandable text and illustrations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with engineering, marketing, SMEs, and external team members to obtain the information necessary to carry out assignments.
- In-depth knowledge of electronic publishing, including DITA, FrameMaker, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and content management systems.
