TelCom Construction is a telecommunications contractor hiring a full-time Construction Foreman. We are looking for workers to start in the spring. (Mid to late March)What will you do?Provide communication and direction to crew membersImplement and perform steps to complete jobs in a timely mannerPerforming duties of operator and/or laborerOperate construction equipment such as a dump truck and skid loaderSetting daily production goalsConducting daily walk-throughsEnsuring DOT documentationMonitoring and adhering to all safety processes and proceduresConducting weekly tool box talksMaintaining and submitting required reportingSetting up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging trafficOther Duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious experience in a similar position with a focus on crew leadership is requiredExperience in Telecommunications is preferred, but not requiredAbility to read prints and interpret utility maps to identify the type and size of underground utilitiesGood verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to give descriptive and respectful directionMust be able to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilitiesMust have good troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsMust be very safety conscientiousMust be able to effectively communicate with crew, customers and vendorsBasic computer skills required, experience with Google apps a plusA valid drivers license required with a good driving record is requiredUnrestricted Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement is a plus (Higher wage scale apply to CDL holders)May be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or be on-call as needed to ensure work is completedTravel is requiredPhysical Requirements:Climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objectsMust be able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 LBS as needed with or without assistanceDuties outlined in this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, sit, bend, use hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low.
