The role:

The Material Handler role is a highly productive, detail-oriented position assisting with inbound material disposition, receiving, putaway of finished goods, replenishment and order picking. The role will be responsible for inventory accuracy and assisting in resolving discrepancies. Ability to communicate effectively with others is a must while maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.Working cooperatively with leaders and peers is critical to success in this role. Must be a role model in demonstrating energy and a passion for the business while following safe practices and company policies at all times. Team members are adept at time management and actively contribute to a positive culture and have fun while contributing to the success of the operation.

Positions is 1st shift M - F 6:00am - 2:30pm (+ mandatory overtime when needed).

What you will do:

  • Operate incident-free and follow all established safety procedures.
    • Perform daily forklift inspection.
    • Complete daily tasks following all safety policies and procedures.
    • Execute assigned housekeeping duties daily.

  • Assist with daily disposition of inbound ocean containers and separating palletized material by SKU number and batch number.
    • Work with leadership to prioritize inbound material flow.
    • Complete daily tasks following all safety policies and procedures.
    • Execute assigned housekeeping duties daily.

  • Ensure accuracy of all Salon inventory.
    • Follow established standards for all tasks to maintain inventory integrity.
    • Complete scan functions for all tasks to keep material locations current.
    • Participate in cycle count activities when needed.


  • Perform work in a timely manner to achieve departmental goals.
  • Committed to driving space efficiency through rigorous inventory consolidation while maintaining to SKU and batch integrity.
  • Pick various items and pack/label them as directed.
  • Load trucks when needed; follow quality standards and DOT requirements.

What you will need:

  • High school diploma, GED or proof of active pursuit of GED certification. Must display ability to perform basic mathematic computation and distinguish differences among numbers, letters and patterns.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of performing basic warehouse operations.
  • 1+ years experience in a warehouse environment utilizing a forklift to perform work.
  • Experience with container unload of materials preferred.
  • Skilled in using a handheld RF scanning device and stretch wrapping machine.
  • Must be a flexible, team player with a positive attitude at all times; willing to go the extra mile.
  • Model strong work ethic with the ability to work with diverse personalities/communication styles while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Must be a self starter and can follow directions consistently.
  • Ability to stand up to ten hours a day and lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout each shift. Shift hours are M-F 6 am to 2:30 p.m.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when needed (Saturdays are rare).
