Responsible for the Maintenance and repair of process and clean utility equipment on the Vacaville
campus, including documentation of work in accordance with cGMP standards.
The Maintenance Mechanic II will be accountable for utilizing their skills and experience to
achieve the safe and accurate completion of tasks on their assigned shift in support of plant operations.

Pay rate=$29.76/hour to $33.48/hour (depends on experience)

Contract duration=12/31/24

Candidates must be open to all shifts (day or grave) 6 am-6:30 pm / 6 pm-6:30 am. It is a 12-hour
shift.
Front half Days: Sunday-Tuesday (alternating Wednesday)
Front half Nights: Sunday-Tuesday (alternating Saturday)
Back half Days: Thursday-Saturday (alternating Wednesday)
Back half Nights: Wednesday-Friday (alternating Saturday)

During the onboarding period of approximately 10 weeks, the working hours will be Monday-Friday from 1000 to 1830 (5x8). After the onboarding process, you will be assigned a shift to support.

Responsibilities:
Timely completion of tasks and work orders with appropriate documentation according to
standard operating procedures, applicable standards, guidelines, practices, and policies.
Influences others in a positive manner to clearly convey technical ideas and concepts.
Safe operation of tools and shop equipment, and safe execution of work in the field.
Demonstrated ability in the use of corporate intranet and applications, CMMS, and standard word
processing and spreadsheet programs.
Interact and communicate appropriately with Manufacturing, Quality, Technology, and
Engineering to ensure satisfactory performance and compliance of mechanical systems.
Represent Maintenance on multidisciplinary project teams and make presentations, as required.
Assist as a technical SME with the identification, purchase, and organization of spare parts.
Successfully complete training and demonstrate the ability to perform equipment monitoring and
operational checks on manufacturing and utility equipment.
Cleaning and organization of designated work areas in Manufacturing and Utilities.
All employees with jobs that require access to the Warehouse must be able to pass the
Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Threat Assessment (STA).
Follows established safety and environmental guidelines and procedures for all work performed.
Immediately reports safety and environmental incidents including injuries, illnesses, near misses,
and safety suggestions. Fosters a positive safety culture in which no one gets hurt.
Other tasks as assigned by maintenance management.

Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
3+ years experience in industrial maintenance, equipment maintenance, or
a combination of technical education and experience. GMP experience is preferred.
Ability to read and understand Piping and Instrumentation Drawings, as required.
Highly skilled in one mechanical trade, knowledgeable in at least 2 others.
Confined Space Entry in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
Ability to distinguish colors.

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Safety Considerations
Schedule may include shift work (12-hour shifts), one weekend day, evening or night hours, or full
off-shift hours.
Expected to be on feet for 8 to 10 hours a day.
Climb 6 flights of stairs daily to maneuver within the manufacturing facility.
Climb heights up to 30 feet by ladder. May work at elevated heights.
Lift up to 50lbs may be required.
Environment requires that gowning in hospital scrubs, bunny suits, gloves, and steel-toe boots be worn. Also, no make-up or jewelry can be worn when working in a clean room
environment.
Work in a clean room environment with large mechanical equipment, piping, and pumps connecting
to tanks serviced by high-pressure steam, water, and air together this creates a loud environment.
Working with/around various chemicals (i.e. acids and bases), solvents, pressurized systems,
compressed gases, and biological materials (Recombinant DNA)
Work in environments that may include low, medium, or high voltages
Work on pressurized gasses and liquids, cryogenic systems, and steam systems
Wear an air-purifying respirator and wear the necessary hearing protection.
Crawl, kneel, stoop, and work in small workspaces.
