Job Details

We are currently seeking a dedicated and **EXPERIENCED** Solar Procurement / Warehouse Manager who will monitor, maintain, and improve the company's Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving and Inventory processes. The successful incumbent of this position will also ensure an integrated sourcing system meets customer requirements, minimizes total supply chain cost, maximizes supply chain effectiveness, and establishes an inventory flow that is responsive to the needs of the business.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, implement, and execute Supply Chain Management policies, procedures, and planning.
  • Select and maintain suppliers that provide high quality products and services at best identified cost and lead time status while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
  • Develops systems, policies, and procedures to evaluate supplier quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and service.
  • Establishes robust inventory practice with material suppliers to provide materials in support of operational schedule and maintain optimum inventory levels to minimize inventory costs.
  • Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.
  • Provides timely and accurate material costs in support of bid and proposal activities.
  • Manages Shipping and Receiving operations and personnel through the establishment of daily work queue and tracking of daily work completion.
  • Adheres to all workplace safety guidelines, policies, and laws.
  • Responsible for Inventory accuracy / management, Inventory Cycle Count process and for driving weekly inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Train, mentor, and coordinate Procurement Department personnel.
  • Provide leadership through effective goal setting, delegation, communication, and review of departmental metrics for appropriate action.
  • Provide necessary materials, tools, and equipment for construction and installation crews.
  • Carrying out all orders effectively by conducting the smooth functions relating to requisition, receipt, stacking, and dispatch of goods and supplies
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales, Operations and Finance to determine process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Operations, or related field required.
  • 3+ years' experience in Procurement/Warehouse management.
  • Proven experience in Solar Industry is a must.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with the ability to quickly resolve key issues with little oversight.
  • Expert knowledge of the best driving, delivery, vehicle maintenance and other industry practices.
  • Familiarity with transportation scheduling and fleet management software.
  • Understanding of basic vehicle mechanics, including the ability to identify when major repairs are needed.
  • Good problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional organization, time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Must have a valid Class C driving License and a clean driving record (5 yr. minimum).
  • Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • Thorough understanding of development, implementation, and budget management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Dropbox, and Fishbowl.
