We are looking to add an Animal Care Attendant to our team at Mutty Paws Academy
CORE RESPONSIBILITES (include but are not limited to):
- Sanitizes/disinfects anywhere a dog will be located in the facility.
- Responsible for 12 dogs in a yard at a time throughout the day.
- Ensures dogs have clean water at all times.
- Monitors and accurately brings problems to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Visually checks pet guests for safety and well-being throughout the day.
REQUIREMENTS: - Enjoy spending time with dogs is a must
- Must be willing to clean, whether that be the facility or dog excrements
- Must be willing to work flexible schedule incl: Evening, weekends and possible holidays
- Must be comfortable with dogs of all sizes. (Training helps with this)
- Must be a team player, we have a great staff and we're looking for positive, hardworking team players
- Willing to learn; dog body language and appropriate play is provided in training
- Energetic
- Strong communication skills
- Must be at least 17 years old
Physical:
- Must be able to work one or all of the following; mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must frequently lift 40 pounds.
- Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
- Must be able to stand and walk frequently
- Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant / sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.
PAY: $16.50-$17.00 / hour
Day range:
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends are encouraged
Shift:
- 4+ hour shifts
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Closing shift
Work setting:
- In-person
- Outdoor and Indoor work
