Talascend is currently seeking a Procurement Clerk for a contract opportunity in Golden Valley, MN
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for administrative tasks related to purchasing goods and services within an organization.
- Handle paperwork, maintain records, and assist with the procurement process.
- Processing purchase orders, tracking inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies.
- Primarily administrative and operational.
- Deals with paperwork, documentation, and coordination.
TOP MUST HAVE SKILLS: - Creates purchase orders for the acquisition of materials.
- Researches, interviews, and negotiates with suppliers to obtain prices and specifications.
- Must have sense of urgency, Good communication skills
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Typically require basic knowledge of procurement processes.
- Less involved in direct negotiations with suppliers.
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- Typically reports to a manager.
